Exactly one month ago Broc and I got engaged!!! On the three year anniversary from our first kiss, Broc slipped this rose gold beauty on my hand while we were snowboarding in Tahoe.
Our proposal story begins like most: one person acting weird and the other cold and irritated. Broc had set it up to propose at the 2pm Northstar Tōst, but it was snowing so hard that it was canceled that day. Broc was acting sketchy all day, and when he didn’t want to drink a beer at the lodge, I knew something was seriously off. He was on his phone and said he wanted to meet up with friends, but he was actually trying to still set it up in secret with the manager.

After rescheduling Olivia & Nate’s engagement session a few times due to the crazy Bay Area weather (excessive smoke and then excessive rain), we were finally blessed with this MAGICAL foggy morning. I went out to Mt Diablo in Walnut Creek on a sunny day and scouted this perfect spot, but of course by the time the session rolled around the weather had totally flipped. Classic Bay Area. The fog was so heavy at some points I couldn’t even see 10 feet in front of me. Rather than reschedule again, we decided to power through and I’M SO GLAD WE DID.

I’ve never been to Costa Rica and getting there proved to be a bit of a mission. A month before our flight, we were strangely notified that our connecting flight out of Panama would be delayed, so we spent 5 hours wondering the airport sipping burnt coffee and knocking over Duty Free sunglasses.
