Cecilia and Calvin!! The day started with their ceremony at San Juan Bautista Mission, a stunning church dating back to 1797. The mariachi band and stained glass windows were a perfect backdrop as Cecilia & Calvin exchanged vows and merged families. Once it was sealed with a kiss, the mariachi band carried the party over to a romantic, outdoor reception at Jardines. Lavender was the theme and the whole place was adorned with lilac roses and beautiful succulents.
Cecilia and Calvin kicked off the night being serenaded by a friend followed by some toasts from loved ones. Once the sun went down, the party really started. They played a traditional Mexican game called ‘La víbora de la mar’ where the guests try to knock the bride and groom off the chairs. I was a little afraid for their safety, but everyone was having a blast and miraculously there were no casualties. The night ended as every wedding should: Calvin in a cowboy hat and Cecilia whipping him with a belt haha, scroll to the bottom to see proof.
